Peninsula Campground

Boat launch and some seasonal boat slips are available. Boat fuel is available on the lake at Long Ravine Campground.  Sandy swim beach with roped swim area. Sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits.  Two fishing trails with access to different areas to fish/swim.

 

**Peninsula is closed for the 2023 winter season, we will reopen for camping, day use and boating May 17, 2024***

 

70 individual and group tent and recreational vehicle sites stretching over 1 1/2 miles of wooded and lakefront property.  We also have 3 camping cabins.

Campfire pit or ring and picnic table at each site. Three sets of restrooms with quarter-operated hot showers.  Please remember to bring your quarters, the showers are one quarter per minute.

Please Note:

DAY USE IS ALLOWED ON THE DAY USE BEACH ONLY: No day use is allowed in any campsites or group coves. Those who are visiting campers are allowed in the campground and must leave by DARK.

PETS MUST BE LEASHED AND ATTENDED AT ALL TIMESPets are not allowed on the sandy beach area or in the roped-off swim area per Nevada County Health Code. Pets are allowed in the water past the marina docks. A signed pet agreement is required.

USE OF ROLLINS LAKE AND FACILITIES AT YOUR OWN RISK. Peninsula assumes no liability for the welfare and safety of any persons using the lake or lake facilities.  

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY…all swimmers do so at their own risk.

NO FIREARMS, FIREWORKS, BB/PELLET/SOFT PELLET GUNS, OR PAINT GUNS ARE PERMITTED AT ANY TIME.

Peninsula is a family-oriented camping facility. Excessively loud, drunken, unsafe, nonconforming, or out-of-control behavior will not be tolerated.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE OR FACILITY USE TO ANYONE FOR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH CAMPGROUND GUEST RULES, WITHOUT A REFUND.

Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. – check-out is 1:00 p.m.

MINIMUM STAY: Martin’s Cove: 5-night minimum, Bandy’s Cove: 3 3-night minimum.  All other sites: Weekends – 2-night minimum, Holidays – 3-night minimum.

CAMPING FEE: Single and double sites: 100% due at the time of reservation. Group, coves and holidays: 100% due at the time of reservation.

RESERVATION FEE: $12.00 per site, Bandy’s Cove – $36.00, Martin’s Cove – $48.00, Double Site – $24.00, the reservation fee is non-refundable.

Pets ($7 per pet, per night) are welcome if happy on a leash at all times. A signed pet agreement is required for all pets. Please pick up after your pet! A maximum of 2 pets per site.

(Campsites left in an unsatisfactory condition upon completion of your stay are subject to a $50 clean-up fee to be applied to the credit card on file.)

RV dump station & water fill-up is available. We can accommodate RV's up to 40 ft in length with slide-outs. (No RV site hookups)

CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations are charged a $25.00 cancellation fee per reservation and $100 for groups and group sites. No refunds within 14 days of arrival. No rainchecks or inclement weather refunds. No cancelations for holiday bookings.

Please Note:  No more than eight (8) people per single site and only one extra vehicle per single site.  Please reserve extra sites to accommodate extra people and vehicles.  

Important Notice About Fires in NID Campgrounds:
*Fire restrictions may be imposed due to weather conditions, PSPS events, power outages or poor air quality, at which time, campfires and charcoal fires will not be permitted.  In severe cases, propane use may be restricted as well.*
