Building futures: NID showcases trade careers to students

NID Equipment Operator Chris Friedman offers pointers to a high school student — none other than Maintenance Supervisor Kenton Early’s son, Russell — on operating a mini excavator.
The hands-on activity was part of the Nevada County Contractors Association Trades Expo on October 8. The event drew around 600 local high school students to explore career opportunities in the skilled trades. Read the story and see photos on Page 3.
