Rollins Reservoir boat launches close due to low water levels
Due to extremely low water levels, NID has closed the Long Ravine and Peninsula boat launches at Rollins Reservoir for the remainder of the season.
Currently, the reservoir is at 42,000 acre-feet—just above last year’s emergency low of 39,000 acre-feet. Shoreline is widely exposed, and conditions have become unsafe for motorized boating.
Given the current levels, continued launch access is no longer feasible or safe.
- Long Ravine Launch: Closed to boats. Open for kayaks and paddleboards.
- Peninsula Launch: Closed to boats. Open for kayaks and paddleboards.
- Orchard Springs Launch: Open to boats, kayaks, and paddleboards.
- Greenhorn Launch: Open to boats, kayaks, and paddleboards.
Scotts Flat Reservoir Launches: The Scotts Flat Marina launch ramp and Cascade Shores boat launch remain open at this time.
