Currently, the District has a yearly budget for this program for the replacement of large areas of treated pipelines. These are areas of aged and badly deteriorated pipelines with a history of interruption of water service for District customers. These replacements projects are designed by the Engineering Department and constructed by the Maintenance Department. The program has successfully replaced all of the Cascade Shores systems, portions of the Penn Valley system to improve fire flows and Shannon Way.
In 2020, the Lidster Avenue and Cypress Hill Unit I area are scheduled for replacement.
