NID will discuss water efficiency during an Oct. 21 webinar sponsored by the Sierra Business Council

Learn more about the importance of Nevada Irrigation District (NID) water efficiency programs, and how you can save water, during an Oct. 21 webinar sponsored by the Sierra Business Council.

NID’s Water Efficiency Technician Kaycee Strong will discuss the NID programs and efforts to help customers practice water conservation at home and through wise, efficient irrigation.

The webinar also will address Nevada County’s Energy Action Plan (EAP), approved by the Board of Supervisors in 2019 to expand energy efficiency, water efficiency, renewable energy, as well as the cost-savings associated with those efforts.

The Sierra Business Council is working with groups representing Nevada County, Nevada City and Grass Valley to implement the EAP. NID is a resource to these working groups, and is proud to partner with local governments and organizations.

Strong’s presentation will provide an overview of NID efforts to save water and energy and touch on the District’s connection to EAP initiatives.

The Sierra Business Council Zoom webinar will take place from 2-3 pm on Oct. 21.
