 Specialized Mercury Removal Technology

The 12-inch Pegasus Hg Removal System was acquired by NID for use in the Combie Reservoir Sediment and Mercury Removal Project.

The project demonstrated a combination of sediment-removal and mercury-extraction methods designed to reduce mercury-impacted sediment while protecting wa-ter quality and meeting environmental requirements.

The Pegasus system was part of the project's specialized mercury-removal process and supported NID's efforts to remove mercury from sediment within Combie Reservoir and the Bear River watershed.

The system may be of interest to organizations involved in environmental remediation, water treatment, sediment management, mercury removal, research, or related applications.
