Specialized Mercury Removal Technology

The 12-inch Pegasus Hg Removal System was acquired by NID for use in the Combie Reservoir Sediment and Mercury Removal Project.

The project demonstrated a combination of sediment-removal and mercury-extraction methods designed to reduce mercury-impacted sediment while protecting wa-ter quality and meeting environmental requirements.

The Pegasus system was part of the project's specialized mercury-removal process and supported NID's efforts to remove mercury from sediment within Combie Reservoir and the Bear River watershed.
