Public Meeting to Introduce Proposed Regional Water Supply Project
LINCOLN and GRASS VALLEY, Calif. – February 4, 2008
– The Nevada Irrigation District (NID) will hold two public meetings to
introduce the proposed regional water treatment plant that will serve
the portion of the NID service area near Lincoln. The meetings will be
held in different areas with identical agendas to make it easier for
citizens and interested groups to meet with the engineering and planning
staff involved in the project.
Meeting #1: Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
NID Business Office at 1036 West Main Street in Grass Valley
Meeting #2: Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Mt. Pleasant Hall at 3333 Mt. Pleasant Road near Lincoln
The public is invited to attend either meeting and learn about the
proposed plant and related facilities, the related service area,
proposed timeline for planning, and the process for environmental
studies. Information presented in the meetings will be available after
March 4 at the City of Lincoln, the NID business office and at the
project website: www.nidregionalwtp.org.
There will be opportunities at each of the meeting for public comment.

About the NID Regional Water Supply Project
NID proposes to build a water treatment plant that will provide treated
water to lands within the southwestern portion of their existing service
area including a portion of the City of Lincoln. The proposed project is
currently in the Planning and Predesign Phase which is expected to last
through 2010, with construction to be completed by 2015. Information
